New product - CIM SUPERSEPT
CIMAI's R&D area presents yet another powerful, wide-spectrum concentrated disinfectant for the exclusive use of professionals and exclusive application on surfaces.
CIM SUPERSEPT is formulated based on the active components Glutaraldehyde and Didecyl-dimethyl-ammonium chloride, acting in the inactivation of several viruses, bacteria and fungi.
Among the viruses that are inactivated is SARS-CoV-2, an enveloped virus of the order of Nidovirales, responsible for the Covid-19 disease.
Scientific experiments carried out with one of the main active components of this product, demonstrate that it inactivates SARS-CoV-2, in a time interval of only 5 minutes.
The CIM SUPERSEPT, must be diluted to 20%, used on surfaces previously washed and degreased, in order to optimize its performance, although the efficiency of the product is not substantially compromised by the presence of protein contamination.
CIM SUPERSEPT should be applied in areas with good ventilation. In closed spaces, after applying the product, the space must be ventilated and wait at least 20 minutes until re-entering it.
After application of CIM SUPERSEPT, rinsing should always be done.
The crossing of the active components of CIM SUPERSEPT, gives it a unique biocidal capacity, with a very wide spectrum, of which we indicate some:
- Viruses: Coronavirus, Influenza A and B Virus, Rhinovirus, Adenovirus, Hepatitis A and B Virus, Norovirus, Enterovirus, Rotavirus.
- Bacteria: Gram negative / Gram positive bacteria, Mycobacterium, Bacillus spores, Listeria monocytogenes.
- Protozoa: Acanthamoeba polyphaga (trophozoites), Cryptosporidium parvum.
- Fungi: Aspergillus niger, Penicillium glaucum, Candida albicans, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Microsporum canis, Cladosporium cladosporoides, Penicillium verrucosum, Aspergillus versicolo.
Given the special formulation of CIM SUPERSEPT, this inactivates enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.
Enveloped viruses, such as SARS-CoV-2, also known as HCoV-19, have a double lipid layer that protects the genetic material of the virus and a kind of spines made up of glycoproteins, responsible for the binding of the virus to our cells, leading infection.
One of the active components of CIM SUPERSEPT, being lipophilic, destroys the lipid wall of the virus (envelope). In turn, the other active component attacks the inner protein material and destroys the virus's genetic material (RNA / DNA).
Effect of the active components of CIM SUPERSEPT on enveloped and non-enveloped viruses:
This product was specially developed for the disinfection of all types of surfaces, such as walls, floors and others. The surfactants existing in its composition, give it a high humectant and penetrating power, which makes it effective even on porous or rough surfaces.
